IT'S NOT TOO EARLY to make your online reservation for "the most beautiful time of the year" in Ohio's Amish country -- mid-September, October, and early November!
The Lamplight Inn Bed & Breakfast offers seven charming guestrooms offering Queen or King beds, private baths, fireplaces, Jacuzzi bath tubs, in-room Satellite TV, DVD players, and many more amenities. Guests love relaxing on the wrap-around porch while viewing miles of rolling countryside. Two acres of beautifully landscaped grounds feature 3-season perennial gardens where hundreds of tulips, petunias, and mums provide a variety of color and cheer! Enjoy AFFORDABLE country luxury at Berlin's newest B&B - a place you'll return to again and again! Near golf courses, wineries, balloon rides, horseback riding, museums, Amish carriage rides, and many gift, furniture, and craft shops.
Sit-down country breakfasts (see "Features") are served in the spacious dining area each morning at 8:30. Some of the favorites include Stuffed French Toast, Baked German Apple Pancake with Vanilla Cream Sauce, Baked Oatmeal, Fresh Fruit Cobblers, Oven-Scrambled Eggs, Three-Cheese Egg Bake, Vegetable Omelets, Thick-sliced Bacon, Sausage Links or Country Ham. PLEASE NOTE: Hillside Suite guests receive a continental breakfast instead of the hot sit-down breakfast.

BEFORE YOU BOOK
A B&B is not a hotel. It is a residence. Innkeepers must operate their particular B&B in a manner that fits their lifestyle while offering quality and reasonable convenience to their guests. Policies for B&Bs are not all the same, and may change from time to time. In order to avoid confusion, DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION WITHOUT HAVING READ THE POLICIES (click on "Policies" at the left margin). Listed below are a few "tips" and "simple courtesies" which will contribute to a pleasant stay at The Lamplight Inn:
- If it is not possible to arrive for check-in by 7pm, please do not book a reservation. This requirement is waived ONLY for groups booking the ENTIRE B&B.
- Use the Directions provided on this website (not a GPS or Map Quest). Avoid getting lost by consulting a map and planning your trip ahead of time. Cell phones are not reliable in Holmes County.
- Do not arrive for check-in earlier than 3pm. In addition to operating their B&B, the Innkeepers are employed in another profession, which requires several hours of work each day. Therefore, specific hours allotted for B&B check-ins must be observed.
- Hillside Suite guests: Please understand that a continental breakfast is provided instead of the sit-down breakfast in the dining area. An "up-grade" cannot be purchased because the dining area cannot accommodate additional guests.
- Most shops close at 5pm Monday thru Saturday, and are not open on Sundays. Restaurants close by 8pm (earlier in the winter).
- Check our web site before your trip for things to see and do while in Holmes County. Innkeepers are not always the best tour guides as guests have varying tastes and interests.
