GUEST COMMENTS:
Steve Evans (son of the famous Bob Evans Restaurant) and his wife Becky were guests at The Lamplight B&B in October & December 2011 and cooked up some of his country sausage in our kitchen as a surprise for all our guests for breakfast. Steve said "We would recommend your clean b&b and delicious breakfast in Berlin, Ohio to anyone!"
May 16, 2011 The delicious breakfast and Larry's rich baritone voice and piano music were the highlight of our 40th Anniversary Celebration. Very clean rooms! We will return and bring friends! Dan & Jane - Dublin, Ohio

BEFORE YOU BOOK
A B&B differs from a hotel. In most cases it is primarily a home. Resident innkeepers operate their B&B in a manner that fits their particular lifestyle while offering quality lodging and convenience to their guests. We at The Lamplight Inn take great care to do all we can to provide our guests with everything needed for a most pleasant visit.
Policies for B&Bs are not all the same, and may change from time to time. PLEASE READ "POLICIES" PRIOR TO MAKING A RESERVATION. As much information as possible is provided on this website to help you determine whether or not The Lamplight Inn is the B&B for you.
- The hours from 4pm to 6pm are dedicated to receiving guests. If it is not possible to check in by 7:30pm, advance arrangements must be made by phone at least two days prior to arrival so that innkeepers may adjust their plans for the evening if possible. Some innkeepers are night owls, but we tend to "turn in" for the night rather early. A "we're running late" phone call on the day of may have to be deemed a cancellation. All calls go to voice mail after 8pm.
- We are happy to begin receiving guests at 4pm when rooms are cleaned and ready. Innkeepers' hours are structured in such a way that the house does not open for early check-in or luggage drop-off. Check-out is 11am.
- GPS address: 5676 Township Road 362, Millersburg. Avoid getting lost by consulting a map and planning your trip ahead of time. Cell phones are not always reliable in the country.
- The Lamplight Inn guests particularly appreciate and desire quiet. Therefore, running water for showers or bathing (and running Jacuzzi tubs) is prohibited between 10pm and 7am. Other guests and resident innkeepers say "Thank you!"
- "Lights Out" in the common areas and exterior occurs at 10pm. Please notify innkeepers at check-in if you plan to be out later than 10pm so that exterior lights may be on for your safety.
- Hillside Suite guests: Please understand that a continental breakfast (cereals, pastries, fruit, cheese, milk, and juice) is provided instead of the sit-down breakfast in the dining area. Purchasing a breakfast "up-grade" is not an option because the dining area cannot accommodate additional guests.
- Most Berlin shops close at 5pm Monday thru Saturday, and are not open on Sundays. Most Amish-owned shops do not take credit cards. Restaurants close by 8pm (earlier in winter).
- On Sundays The Lamplight Inn B&B (and grounds) close after 11am check-out.
- Visit our website for things to see and do when you visit.
