 BEFORE YOU BOOK

A B&B differs from a hotel.  Innkeepers operate their particular B&B in a manner that fits their lifestyle while offering quality and reasonable convenience to their guests.  Policies for B&Bs are not all the same, and may change from time to time.  As much information as possible is provided to help you determine whether or not The Lamplight Inn is the B&B for you.  PLEASE DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION WITHOUT HAVING READ THE POLICIES.  Listed below are a few "simple courtesies" which will contribute to a pleasant stay at The Lamplight Inn Bed & Breakfast:

  • If it is not possible to arrive for check-in by 6pm, advance arrangements must be made by phone at least two days prior to arrival.  "Running late" notification on the day of may be deemed a cancellation.
  • No luggage drop-off or check-in before 4pm.
  • GPS address:  5676 Township Road 362, Millersburg.  Avoid getting lost by consulting a map and planning your trip ahead of time.  Cell phones are not reliable in Holmes County.
  • The Innkeepers understand that guests particularly appreciate and desire quiet hours.  Therefore, running water for showers or bathing (and running Jacuzzi jets) is prohibited between 10pm and 7am.  Strictly enforced, thank you!
  • "Lights Out" in the common areas and exterior occurs at 10pm.  If you plan to be out later than that, please notify innkeepers so that exterior lights may remain on for your safety.
  • Hillside Suite guests:  Please understand that a continental breakfast (cereals, pastries, fruit, cheese, milk, and juice) is provided instead of the sit-down breakfast in the dining area.  Purchasing a breakfast "up-grade" is not an option because the dining area cannot accommodate additional guests.
  • Most shops close at 5pm Monday thru Saturday, and are not open on Sundays.  Most Amish-owned shops do not take credit cards.  Restaurants close by 8pm (earlier in winter).
  • The Lamplight Inn B&B (and grounds) close after 11am check-out on Sundays.
  • Visit our website for things to see and do when you visit.
