Policies
Please read carefully BEFORE making a reservation.

The Lamplight Inn Bed and Breakfast is a 7-guestroom property where every reservation made is both important and special to us.

A credit card is required to hold your reservation.  If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least ten (10) days prior to your arrival date.  A $20 processing fee will be charged to your credit card.

In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than ten (10) days notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation.  The room will go back "on the market" as soon as we are notified of the cancellation, and if we can rebook your room(s), a full or partial refund will be made.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

A B&B is not a hotel.  It is a residence.  Innkeepers must operate their particular B&B in a manner that fits their lifestyle while offering quality and reasonable convenience to their guests.  Policies for B&Bs are not all the same, and may change from time to time.  As much information as possible is provided to help you determine whether or not The Lamplight Inn is the B&B for you.  PLEASE DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION WITHOUT HAVING READ THE POLICIES .  Listed below are a few "simple courtesies" which will contribute to a pleasant stay at The Lamplight Inn:

  • If it is not possible to arrive for check-in by 7:30pm, please do not book a reservation.  This requirement is waived ONLY for groups booking the ENTIRE B&B.
  • Use the Directions provided on this website (not a GPS or Map Quest).  Avoid getting lost by consulting a map and planning your trip ahead of time.  Cell phones are not reliable in Holmes County.
  • Do not arrive for check-in or luggage drop-off earlier than 4pm.
  • The Innkeepers are particularly concerned that guests be considerate of each other, especially regarding quiet.  "Lights Out" in the common areas occurs at 10:00pm.
  • Running water for showers or bathing is prohibited between 10pm and 7am.
  • Hillside Suite guests:  Please understand that a continental breakfast is provided instead of the sit-down breakfast in the dining area.  Purchasing a breakfast "up-grade" is not an option because the dining area cannot accommodate additional guests.
